Tanglewood Tiare ukuleles have been researched and developed with patience and diligence. With influences from Polynesia, the name itself is taken from the national flower of Tahiti, capturing the essence of the South Pacific ensuring the Tiare models exemplify an authentic and traditional representation of the art of the ukulele.
The Tiare ukuleles are made up of a contrasting range of exotic materials, from stunning Black Walnut to Figured Hawaiian Koa tone woods, specially selected by Tanglewood to have beautiful figuring in the grain to make each instrument unique. Every ukulele features a luxury “fiddleback” contoured back for increased sound projection and volume and Aquila strings, usually found on only the most professional high priced instruments as standard equipment. Models are also fitted with neck truss rods, along with chrome metal machine heads for precise tuning.
